Discover Maloit Park in Eagle County
It’s incredibly easy to have outdoor fun in the Vail Valley, which means that if you consider yourself a nature lover then you’ll be right at home in the area. There are tons of trails and parks worth checking out in and around the Vail Valley. One park that we recommend that you explore is Maloit Park in Eagle County.
Maloit Park is a beautiful park that boasts roughly 10 kilometers worth of trails that are suitable for all levels of hiking. The area was first developed in the 1930s as a recreation area for the Gilman Mine’s employees. In 1985, the Eagle County School District purchased the land. They partnered with the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail to construct the trail system that exists today.
The trails are perfect for going on an easy hike, taking the dog for a walk or even snow shoeing in the winter. The trails are often used by the locals as well as Olympic hopefuls and are open to the public.
