The town of Eagle has much to offer to real estate buyers in the Vail Valley. Broadway, its cute main street has recently been revived to offer an attractive downtown scene that still preserves its Old West character. Eagle is a place where the dust of cattle drives seems to linger and you can almost hear the clink of spurs when you walk into the Brush Creek Saloon. Yet you’ll find all the amenities, shopping and services you could hope for and a genuine, small-town community to raise a family or enjoy the Golden Years.
The government seat for Eagle County, much of the county’s business goes on in Eagle, giving it a hum of importance surprising given its size. Eagle can most easily be divided into “oldtown Eagle” and “Eagle Ranch.”Both areas offer condos and houses that are affordable for fulltime homeowners or real estate investors with renters, but the newer Eagle Ranch area also offers Golf Course property and luxury homes.
The majority of land abutting Eagle is public land, offering a glorious menu of recreational activities from hiking and mountain biking in summer, to hunting in fall and snowmobiling in winter. In downtown Eagle Ranch, a short walk away from idyllic, neighborhood living, you’ll find a movie theater and fantastic dining options, as well as shopping. Nearby is the ice skating arena and outdoor pool, and a short drive up an incredibly scenic road takes you to fishing and boating at Sylvan Lake, one of the most beautiful State Parks in Colorado.
