Being the “Gateway to the Vail Valley” from all over the world, it is the first, and last, impression many visitors to the Vail Valley will carry home with them.  As such, last April, Eagle County broke ground for a 50,000 square-foot expansion to the Eagle County Airport, located in Gypsum, Colorado, less than an hour from one of the Country’s iconic ski Resorts, Vail.

As far as the taxpayer is concerned, the entire $33 million project will be completely funded with Airport revenues and will focus on the departure, and arrival, gate sections of the terminal and will add more gate capacity to better accommodate the passenger experience at the Airport.

As far as local commuters concerns, the Airport will remain open during the construction and will operate as normal during all times.
