Over this last summer, 2017, the schools in the Eagle River Valley (nee:  Vail Valley) have seen an incredible flurry of construction improvements.  Among the, nearly, $30 million in improvements:  10 renovation projects, nine parking lots resurfaced, four carpet and flooring projects, three new furnishings projects and two asbestos-abatement projects.  These projects have upgraded almost all of the County’s schools including Gypsum Creek MS, Gypsum Elementary, Red Hill Elementary, Brush Creek Elementary, Battle Mountain HS, Berry Creek MS, June Creek Elementary, Edwards Elementary, Red Canyon HS East, Homestake Peak and Avon Elementary.  As well, there were mechanical system upgrades to every school building.  And, the school board approved an agreement with the Town of Vail to build a parking structure at Red Sandstone Elementary as well as another $3.4M in energy efficient improvements.
