Tops 1.4 Billion

Eagle County real estate ends the year with $1,402,637,280 in total dollar volume, just 7% shy of last year’s volume of $1,513,490,284.  However, the 1,766 transactions were 2% above last year, which was 1,726 transactions and the highest number since 2007. The area showing the vast majority of these transactions were Eagle and Gypsum, accounting for 229 in each area (13% of the county’s total number of transactions).

Here’s a look inside the numbers for Eagle County Real Estate in 2013:

  • The highest dollar volume of any area in 2013 was Vail Village with a total sales volume of $183,243,812.
  • 121 – Number of transactions in Avon; the 3rd most of any area.
  •  $801,007was the overall average sales price in Eagle County.
  • 10%was the increase in Price Per Square Foot for multi-family homes throughout Eagle County from 2012 to 2013.
  • The highest Price Per Square Foot for any Eagle County area was $1,581for multi-family homes in Vail Village.
  • 724 – Residential transactions under $500,000.
  • 100 was the total number of commercial transactions.
  • There were 50 residential transactions over $4 million.
  • 53%is the number of Buyers that were from Eagle County.
  • $13,550,000 was the highest residential sale for the year, which was in Vail Village.
  • $3,122was the highest residential price per square foot for a home.
