If you’re looking for outdoor fun in the Vail Valley, then you won’t have to look very hard. The area is known for its many outdoor activities. In fact, if you enjoy hiking, then you’ll numerous trails throughout the Vail Valley that are worth checking out. If you’re up for a challenge, then we recommend Lee’s Way.
Lee’s Way is a new trail that’s located in the West Avon Preserve. The trail is for experts only, as designated by the double black diamond sign near the top. Not only is it a challenging trail for hikers, its an especially difficult trail for mountain bikers – which means only very experienced hikers and bikers should be attempting it.
Lee’s Way is about two miles long and has a total descent of 880 feet. You can access Lee’s Way from the Beaver Creek Point trailhead, which is located in the Avon’s Wildridge neighborhood. You can also get to it from adjoining trails such as Saddleridge or Playground Way. However, if you use these trails to access Lee’s Way, expect some uphill riding or hiking.
