Parking Key to Vail’s Success

By In The Vail Valley On July 12, 2011

Vail Valley ColoradoAs a hot spot for residents and tourists, Vail is always looking for ways to improve its parking. It is essentially the key to success for a town like Vail in order to accomodate as many people as possible.

Vail Resorts and the town of Vail continue to squeeze parking spaces into the crowded mountain areas. Drop-off areas were also created in Lionshead, Golden Peak, and Cascade Village last year to help accomodate those that are able get rides to the areas and do not need to park.

Eagle County residents also have fewer restrictions when it comes to their parking passes. Value Passes were extended for the entire season last year, and Sunday was included for all pass holders. Although Friday and Saturday remain at peak rates, this does a lot of good for residents seeking shopping and skiing on the weekends.
