Colorado passed the House Bill 17-1151 in August of 2017.  This Bill categorized e-bikes into three categories:  I, II and III; and, stipulates where they can be ridden.

The Town of Vail came into alignment with Colorado’s regulations on February 6th of this year.  Along with the recent alignment, e-bikes will not be allowed on soft surface trails in, or around, the Town of Vail; or, on sidewalks that are not part of a designated bicycle and pedestrian path.
