VAIL RECEIVES “SUSTAINABLE DESTINATION” DESIGNATION!

A model for sustainable development and tourism, the Town of Vail was named one of the Top 100 Sustainable Destinations in 2017.  The designation is presented by Green Destinations, a non-profit organization for sustainable tourism, and is determined by an evaluation of 15 core criteria including cultural heritage conservation, solid waste reduction, accessibility and landscape and scenery.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Vail, Colorado were the only United States cities/resort areas to receive this designation.  To read more about the designation and Vail’s inclusion into the Top 100:  http://www.vaildaily.com/news/town-of-vail-officially-honored-as-a-top-100-sustainable-destination/
